the Club:
The Mysore Tennis Club is one of the well known tennis promoting clubs in our country. The club has a rich tradition and has been contributing talented players to the state and country in different age levels. Current Indian Davis Cupper Prahlad Srinath is a product of this club. As early as in 1975, Mysore Tennis club had in its ranks players like N.P.Raghuveer, J.Jagadish and N.B.Ethiraj (who were ranked amongst the top 10 players in the country). They had five state ranked players two in seniors and three in junior level namely, C.S.Ramaswamy, R.Gopalkrishna amongst seniors and Ajay Pedio, Mohit Vijay Kumar and N.V.Chaitanya in the junior level. |

| Later on, players like P.Srinath (currently ranked No.3 in the country after Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi), R.Nagaraj, D.R.Jayadev, S.Saffiuddin and G.B.Bharatraj and Abhay Prakash made the mark. Amongst the women's players Neem Devaiah, Saritha were players of repute and later on G.Geethraj, G.Bhavyaraj, M.R.Anupama and M.R.Chirashanthi continued to keep up the tradition. |
| The Mysore Tennis club has presently a very good junior coaching program and coaching for U-10, U-12 boys and girls are held at the club's courts regularly. The coaching is incharge of Mr Jayaprakash. The club conducts at least three to four state ranking tournaments every year. |
