country has its share of laurels in the international level with our
state's and country's ace badminton player Prakash Padukone winning
the England Badminton championship. |

Players like Nandu Natekar, Late Syed Modi, Gopichand, Aparna Popat,
Anil, Uday Pawar and our city's P.G.Chengappa have served the game and
have brought laurels for the country. |

Our city has also been regularly producing quality badminton players
who have gone on to represent the state and country. Players like P.G.
Chengappa, P.Darshan, Yashasvi Shankar, Vikram.S.Nadig, Sriharsha and
Manjunath have made their mark amidst stiff competition. |

The Mysore District Badminton Association under the leadership of Mr.
Puttannaih, are striving hard to improve the game in our district by
conducting more tournaments in different age levels, so as to spot new
talents. |
