There are three divisions in the Mysore Zonal league. ie the First, Second
and the Third division. |
| First Division:
The matches are played on a 50 overs basis, and each team plays nine
games. The top team who emerges as the champion will be invited by KSCA,
Bangalore to play in Bangalore along with the winners in the second, third
division teams. The top two teams from the second division will be
promoted to the first division.The last two teams who finish at the bottom
of the league table will be de-promoted to the second division. The Mysore
Gymkhana has set a records of sorts by winning the first division title
for the eleventh year in succession. |
| Second Division:
The matches will be played on a 50 overs basis and each team gets to play
nine matches. The top two teams earn promotion to the first division and
the least two teams will be de-promoted to the third division. |
| Third Division:
The matches will be played on a league cum knock-out basis and the top two
teams earn promotion to the second division. |
