University  College of Physical Education, Mysore is affiliated to the University of Mysore and offers courses in  .M.P.Ed (Degree with a post-graduate Diploma in Physical education) and B.P.Ed. The college is situated at university pavilion and regular practical and theory classes are conducted.

Procedure For Application And Admission


There are two schemes of seats available in each of the courses. Scheme-A seats are regular seats which are normal intake fixed by the university and scheme-B seats are partially self-financing seats. Scheme-B will consist of number of seats not more than 50% of the number of seats available under regular Scheme-A for each course. reservations to an extent of 15%, 3% and 4% of seats under Scheme-B are earmarked respectively for SC, ST and C Category-1 candidates and two seats in excess of these seats are available for foreign nationals. Candidates willing to be considered for scheme-B (in case he/she does not secure seat under scheme A) shall have to clearly exercise their option in the Application to merit including partially self-financing seats.

APPLICATION

(a) The application form (including prospectus) may be obtained from the Administrative officer, Manasa Gangothri Mysore,570006 on payment of Rs90/-(Rs 120/- in the form of crossed DD draw in favour of the Administrative Officer, Manasa Gangothri  Mysore- 570006, if required by post). The application form may also be obtained in any of the following Branches of the State Bank Of Mysore

2. Manasagangothri Branch, Mysore
3. Main Branch, Hassan
4. Main Branch, Mandya
5. Main Branch, Chamarajanagar

(b) The prospectus contain prescribed application form, proforma of the Admission Ticket for Entrance Examination, the time-table for the Entrance Examination for specified courses and SBM challan.

(c) The application for admission shall be submitted on or before 5.30p.m. on 20.7.2000 to the chairpersons of the respective Departments,Manansagangothri, Mysore- 570006, where the candidate seeks admission, along with zerox copies of the following documents.
(i) S.S.L.C Marks card/cumulative record
(ii) Marks cards of I,II and III year Degree Course
(iii) Eligibility Certificate in case of students belonging to universities other than Karnataka State
(iv) Original Challan for having paid the Entrance Examination fee (in case of candidates seeking admission to courses where in Entrance Examination is compulsory)
(v) Candidates claiming the benefits  of reservation under SC/ST and other backward categories such as Cat I, IIA, IIB, IIIA& IIIB shall enclose attested zerox copies of valid certificate issued by a competent Authority.

(d) Candidates claiming seats under special categories such as sports, Physically Handicapped, NSS, NCC etc shall produce valid certificate in respective categories justifying their claim as detailed here under.
