| KSCA President's XI sprung a surprise while clinching the KSCA
all-India invitation tournament title at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on
Saturday.
In a final that had a touch of sibling rivalry written all over it,
President's XI upset its more fancied rival KSCA XI and registered a
facile eight-wicket victory with a day to spare.
Opting to bat after winning the toss on a pitch that offered good
bounce, and in conditions that helped movement, KSCA XI floundered from
the beginning as seamers Aditya Sagar (three for 29) and ‘Man of the
Final' Asghar Pasha (five for 22) cut a swathe through the top-order.

KSCA President's XI registered a eight-wicket win over KSCA XI and clinched the the in the All-India Invitation cricket tourney final at the Chinnaswamy stadium on Saturday. The accomplished quartet of skipper K.B. Pawan, C.M. Gautam, Robin
Uthappa and B. Akhil fell in rapid succession as KSCA XI struggled at 24
for six in 11.4 overs. Tejas Wagle (33 n.o.) offered some resistance,
but the rest just caved in around him as the host ended up with a meagre
92 in 35.4 overs.
Subsequently President's XI pocketed the winning runs with ease as
Bharath Chipli (32), and later captain Ganesh Satish (34 n.o.) kept
finding the ropes to help their team cruise past KSCA XI's total.
The KSCA president Srikanta Datta Narasimharaja Wadiyar gave away the prizes.
The scores: Final: KSCA XI 92 in 35.4 overs (Tejas Wagle 33 n.o.,
Asghar Pasha five for 22, Aditya Sagar three for 29) lost to KSCA
President's XI 93 for two in 34.2 overs (Ganesh Satish 34 n.o., Bharath
Chipli 32) .
